Fabiola Guillén is a Mexican contemporary dance maker, performer, dance educator, and emerging playwright currently based in Taiwan. She holds a MA in Cultural and Creative Industries from Taipei National University of the Arts. She graduated with Honors from the Bachelor of Dance at Universidad de las Américas Puebla, Mexico, where she also earned a Bachelor of Medicine. In 2017, she received one of the Canadian Government's 'Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program' scholarships to undertake an academic exchange at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
In 2018, she was the only Mexican selected for a Dance Education Internship at Bates Dance Festival (Lewiston, Maine, USA), where she choreographed a piece for the Young Choreographers/New Works Showcase. The same year, Guillén worked as a performer with acclaimed French choreographer Xavier Le Roy and Scarlet Yu for the exhibition 'Retrospective' at Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo in Mexico City.
Guillén's choreographic work has been presented internationally in Mexico, the USA, Canada, Hungary, India, and Taiwan. As a dance educator, she has taught ballet and modern/contemporary technique for various ages and levels in Mexico, Croatia, India, and Taiwan.
